Despair in a December

 In August of 2020, I (Christina) had a dream where I saw many people were going out on sensational type activities with their ministry groups, but they were not careful to make sure it was the Lord sending them out, rather they were just going out in the excitement and emotion of the moment. Instead of hearing God they were hearing only a person and were missing important messages from the Lord that would prepare and protect them in the midst of the coming difficulties.

 I saw it was the month of December (I did not see what year it was). It was cold – in a time when there would be normal holiday festivities for the USA, there was none. In the air, there was a feeling of shock. I saw a nice subdivision with close together homes – the street lights were on lighting up the area and these people came back to find that their neighborhoods were full of trash. Not just on the curb, but the streets and sidewalks leading out to the main road. There was so much trash everywhere! It seemed like the garbage truck had not come to pick up the neighborhood trash for many weeks. It was overwhelming and the stench was terrible.

Some people in the neighborhood knew things would be harder and had stocked up their home, but they were not prepared for the basics to not be working, like something as simple as trash pickup. It stopped people from driving in and driving out of the subdivision, as the streets were so full. People parked their cars in the road and got out to assess the situation. It was a very sorrowful feeling, watching people not able to return home, because of the mounds of trash everywhere. I felt that while there were other basics also lacking, like city water as well, this created an overall feeling of despair amongst the people. In the dream, I was very aware that an upcoming December would be an incredibly difficult time; even the most basic of common services like trash pickup could potentially be on hold. There was also a lot of feeling of loss that people felt – they had no control on changing the situation and they deeply regretted the choices they had made leading up to these times.

2 Timothy Chapter 4:3-4

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Blessings,

Christina
