Do You Know Jesus as Your Lord and Savior?

There is only one true God. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are One. There is only one God and these are the three forms in which He reveals Himself. 1 John 5:7 (KJV), “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

All of creation acknowledges who God is. Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Luke 19:40, “And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out..”

God created everything – this world and everything and every person in it!

We learn from the Bible, that while all people were created in God’s image, not all belong to Him. A child of God is one who lives their life in a way that honors and pleases the Lord. Luke 10:27, “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.’”

God has given everyone a way to know Him and to know how to live a life pleasing to Him. We can learn through His Holy Word (The Bible) and through the Holy Spirit.

James 2:19, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.”
While many people believe there is a God, not everyone actually lives for Him in a way that glorifies Him. Only believing that there is a God, will not save you, rather you must live your life for Him. We read in the Holy Bible that all have sinned –
Romans 3:23, “…for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…”

And we read that God sent His Son, Jesus, to save us – John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, because it is our sins that separate us from God and will lead to us hell. He died to give you the opportunity of a new life, forgiven of sin and live a life of Holiness in Him. John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”

Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” To have faith in the Lord, means to believe in Him, confess Him and live for Him. Luke 10:27, “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.’”

We begin to receive salvation, in Christ, by believing in our heart and through confession by our mouths. Romans 10:8-9, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Trust the Lord, have confidence and believe in His will for your life and live according to His Word, the Bible. He will cleanse you of your sin, give you forgiveness and renew your heart.

He loved you so much that He gave His one and only Son for you. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
*That word “believes” when you look it up means: to have faith in, upon a person or thing, to entrust ones wellbeing, commit unto. It means not just to believe but to also be persuaded of; to place confidence in, trust in and be committed unto.

So then, a  true confession of faith means we are completely committing and devoting our lives to the Lord Jesus and His will.

After we repent of our sins and come to Christ, we must be born again of water and Spirit in order to progress deeper into the Kingdom of God. We must be baptized in water and baptized with Holy the Ghost. Baptism in water sets us free from the old sin nature and we can experience deliverance. Many times throughout the Book of Acts we see examples of believers who had just came to Christ, were immediately water baptized into Jesus and received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands all in the same hour! It was always very evident that they received the Holy Spirit baptism, as they immediately began to speak in new tongues as the Holy Spirit came on them and filled them! You can pray by yourself or if you can, we would recommend having a Spirit filled Believer lay hands on you and ask the Lord Jesus to baptize and fill you with the Holy Spirit! Acts 2:37-39  (KJV)
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Acts 2:1-4 (KJV) “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

When people don’t live for the Lord, then there is separation from Him, because He is a just God. For those who believe and obey His Word, they will be able to spend eternity with the Lord. But for those who do not live for Him, they will be separate from God – in Hell – with no hope for all eternity.

Confess with your mouth and believe with all your heart that Jesus is Lord and live a life that honors Him in all you do. Remember to repent of your sins means to turn from your old ways and live life in a new way that is glorifying to Jesus.

Read God’s Word, seek Him in prayer and fellowship with other Believers who walk in the Christian life that we see the in the Bible.

Luke 15:7, “ I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

If you need prayer or have asked for Jesus to forgive you of your sins and for Him to be the Lord and Savior of your life, we would love to hear from you, to pray for you and encourage you!
