In a vision of the night, I found myself amongst a group of believers fleeing from persecutors. They were running with boxes of precious family items, photos and cds. I kept telling them, “leave the boxes!” and then I would take a box and throw it down and say “dust to to dust” and it would turn into dust. I then told the people when it comes time to flee, let these things go, they will hold you back and could cost you your life. The people kept weeping wanting to hold on to the memories of the past, but I saw that the season I was seeing, was a tribulation season. When that season begins you must not hold on to the past. It is important to run forward, not bound by earthly things.
Hebrews 12:1-2
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
