Full Obedience to God

Lesson Notes from 10/18/18

Read Psalm 27
Song – “I will Not Fear”
I will not fear, because my God is with me.
I will not fear, because You are my God…
I will not fear, because my God is with me.
Oh, I will not fear, because You are my God…
Because the Lord is at my right hand I will not be shaken,
Because the Lord is at my right hand I will not be moved!
– By Joseph T. Bishara

Jeremiah 31:31, 33-34 – 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah,
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, (Heb. 8:10) and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know Me from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and will remember their sins no more.
We are getting ready to enter into this season!

Prophetic Revelation on Feb. 14, 2018 Even the very basic Christian will hear God. Because the veil will be removed. There is a veil between the 1st and 3rd Heaven, in the 2nd heaven and The Lord will cut it right down the middle with His sword!

Zechariah 12:8 In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and he that is feeble among them, in that day shall be as David: and the house of David shall be as God’s house, and as the Angel of the Lord before them.

We receive salvation, in Christ, by believing in our heart and through confession by our mouth.

Romans 10:8-10 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)
“8 But what saith it? The word is near thee, even in thy mouth, and in thine heart. This is the word of faith which we preach. 9For if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart, that God raised him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved: 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth man confesseth to salvation.”

John 3:16 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)
16 For God so loveth the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that whosoever *believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.
*That word believes when you look it up (Strong’s # 4100) means: to have faith in, upon a person or thing, to entrust ones wellbeing, commit unto. It means not just to believe but to also be persuaded of; to place you confidence in, trust in and be committed unto.
So then, a true confession of faith means we are completely committing and devoting our lives to The Lord Jesus and His will.
John 15:1-5 – READ (abiding in Christ)

Full Obedience to God
John 2:1-10 (AKJV)
1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 and both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. 6 And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled
them up to the brim. 8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. 9 When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, 10 and saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

The servants knew the Lord’s will and they obeyed it fully! They didn’t just fill the water pots, it says they filled the water pots “up to the brim.” We must obey not only the written word of God – the Holy Bible, but also the Spoken word of God,
through the Holy Spirit.

In order to walk in full and complete obedience we must position ourselves to hear God!
Ephesians 5:16-17 (AKJV)
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
*How can we do Gods will unless if we know what it is?
We must seek Him!
Another example of obedience Genesis 6:14 (AKJV)
14 Make thee an ark… – It took Noah about 100 years to build the ark before the flood came.
* OBEDIENCE TO THE LORD IS KNOWING HIS WILL AND WALKING IN IT COMPLETELY.
In John 14:15-17 (AKJV) Jesus said to those who follow Him:
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

SEVERAL THINGS THAT CAN KEEP US FROM WALKING IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD:
• BITTERNESS & UNFORGIVENESS – these will make a wall of blockage from salvation.
Matthew 6:14-15 (GNV)
14 For if ye do forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if ye do not forgive men their trespasses, no more will your father forgive you your trespasses.
• AN UNREPENTANT HEART – Repentance is to regret and change your behavior, change the way you think and act.
Romans 12:1-2 (AKJV)
12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
• FEAR OF MAN – will keep you from walking in complete obedience.
See 1 Kings 19:16 – Elisha had to compete what Elijah missed.
(Revelation received on Nov. 11, 2012)
Elijah gave into fear from Jezebels threat of his life!
As soon as he heard her threat, he became afraid and that fear opened a door for her
witchcraft/enchantment to attack his life (see 1 Kings 19:1-4 KJV). Suddenly a spirit of fear enveloped him. Elijah fled for his life and this mighty prophet of God could no longer hear the voice of the Lord, so he fled to Horeb the mount of God! This is that same mount Sinai where Moses saw the bush on fire that did not burn and there he heard Gods voice! (See Ex 3:1-4) When the Prophet Elijah could no longer hear Gods voice he went to the place where he knew God would speak to him, Mount Horeb/Sinai. As soon as he arrived into the cave he heard the voice of the Lord speaking to
him. “What doest thou here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:9 KJV) Because Elisha fled from Jezebel, instead of slaying here along with the prophets of Baal, God said to him “go anoint Elisha in thy room/place.”)

• LOVE OF MONEY & MATERIAL POSSESSIONS:
Matthew 6:19-24 (AKJV)
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single(clear), thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon(the god of money).
• PRIDE: Pride says, “my way is better,” even when its wrong. A prideful one will not admit it.
Proverbs 16:18 (AKJV)
18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty(high minded) spirit before a fall.

Isaiah 55:7-9 (KJV)
7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return untothe LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and
my thoughts than your thoughts.
IN ORDER TO WALK IN FULL OBEDIENCE TO THE LORD WE NEED TO RID THESE
THINGS FROM OUR LIVES. WE NEED TO SEEK GOD, KNOW HIM AND HIS WILL IN
ORDER TO FULLY OBEY.
Ignorance will not get us to heaven… We must have a relationship with God and do His will. We will be judged by our deeds (how we lived/our conduct) according to Rev 2:23 and how we obeyed and fulfilled Gods will for our lives.

1 Peter 1:13-16 (KJV)
13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind(prepare your mind for action), be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16 because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
In 1 Kings 13 we read about the Prophet who was given instructions from the Lord to “Eat no bread nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest.”
The man of God obeyed everything that the Lord had commanded him until on his way back home. When he was meet by an older Prophet –
1 Kings 13:18 (KJV)
18 He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.
Even if an older brother or “prophet” in the Lord tells us something contrary to the Word of the Lord (written Word or spoken), we must hold to what God has said!
Galatians 1:8 (KJV)
8 But though that we, or an Angel from heaven preach unto you otherwise than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
We must endure until the end!

Matt 24:13 But he that endureth to the end, he shall be saved.
Do not receive any prophecy until you first test the spirits.
1 John 4:1 (KJV)
4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
IN ORDER TO WALK IN FULL OBEDIENCE, WE NEED TO SEEK GOD, KNOW HIM AND
HIS WILL IN ORDER TO FULLY OBEY.
