I was shown a night vision of a mother, who was distraught, with a very sick child. She went to her church and met with a church staff member in one of the side rooms. The church staff woman, who acted as if she were prophetic and pastoral, began to stretch out her hand towards the young child and declare healing over the child. Then she laid her hands over the child’s head and declared “wholeness, healing”. The child was instantly healed and the mother began to cry. The church staff woman then stood up and looked up at me and smiled.
I crossed my arms and looked at her and said, “What did you just do?”
She said, “I healed the child.”
I said, “From what spirit did you source the healing?”
“It doesn’t matter. The child is healed.” She said.
I said, “It does matter, we should only get healing from the Holy Spirit, no other source.”
The woman became angry and said, “I am a healer, the source does not matter, I’m not “religious”.”
I said, “No, you’re not religious,” knowing that this woman did not have the pure undefiled religion of God at all. She was sourcing demonic power.
The vision ended and then the Holy Spirit, told me that discernment in this next year was going to be very important for believers to have. Lying signs and wonders have a price. We must only receive signs and healing from the Holy Spirit and none other. The anti-Christ and those who are false ministers, false prophets and false healers will show great signs and wonders. We must not be swayed by their great show of power, but be very discerning to the source of the power being used.
2 Thessalonians 2:6-14, “ And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Matthew 24:24-25, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before.”
